“BATEC Information Technology Workforce Skills Study “ - Peter Saflund, The Saflund Institute 
       This year-long study presents data on current and future IT workforce skills requirements gathered from IT workers, hiring managers, and strategic planners from companies such as Raytheon, Staples, Partners Healthcare, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Molecular, Whaleback Systems and many more. The study focuses on technician and technologist jobs in IT and will help community colleges, 4-year universities, and secondary schools provide an adequate supply of properly skilled IT professionals to domestic and trans-national enterprises whose operations are increasingly IT-enabled and more IT-dependent.

“The Gap Guide: A Resource for Educators Working with Industry” - Joyce LaTulippe, BATEC Curriculum Direct
       The guide was developed by LaTulippe with the input of BATEC’s partners in education and industry. The guide outlines specific steps educators can take to partner with industry in their community.
“Tech Apprentice Manual – High School” - BATEC Boston Area Partners
      TechBoston Sponsers a paid, summer intership program caled Tech Apprentice that places skilled technology students in interships with local companies. Businesses benefit by employing students with strong technical skills while the students get the opportunity to apply their skills to the real world business enviroments.
“Tech Apprentice Manual – Community College” - BATEC Boston Area Partners
       Through a National Science Foundation grant called SynergyRPT, educational partners from Broadening Advanced Technological Education Connections (BATEC) attempted to scae a succesful high school intership program called Tech Apprentice. Beginning in Fall 2010 through june 2011, faculty and staff from Quinsigamond Community College worked closely with Boston Public Schools’ TechBoston department in adopting successful practices that are designed to attract employers to hire Computer Information Systems students for paid or unpaid interships.
