BATEC College and Career Day will provide Boston Area high school students with a demonstrated interest in computing, the opportunity to hear and meet technology professional, as well as learn about pathway options in computing and financial aid in local community colleges. The format of the event will feature a keynote from Microsoft developer Edwin Guarin, follwoed by a number of breakout sessions on topics such as: Artbotics, Building a Blog, and Mobile Application Development. Finally concluding with information onntuition, and program options at RCC, BHCC, and MassBay, presented by the admissions staffs of the participating schools.

  • 10:15-10:30 Bathroom break; transition to breakout rooms
  • 10:30-11:30 Breakout sessions
  • 11:30-11:40 Transition to Auditorium for Financial Aid / Admissions info
  • 11:40-12:00 Financial Aid / Admissions Talk
  • 12:00-12:10 Transition to lunch
  • 12:10-12:45 Lunch, outside w/ tabling from RCC, BHCC, and MassBay
  • 12:45 Dismissal
